Beginner Friendly Course Certification Information
Village Greens of Woodridge is proud to announce that we have been named a "Beginner Friendly Course" for the 7th year in a row!!
The NGCOA, through its Get Linked Play Golf player development program, has established Beginner Friendly Course Certification for the purpose of locating those courses that welcome new players and can be identified as Beginner Friendly.

Currently, only 500 courses have been certified. Village Greens has long been committed to ensuring that new golfers have a great experience at our course. "Golf can be very intimidating to people and it is our job to make sure that new golfers have a good time so that they will continue to play the game, preferably at our course," said Brandon Evans, General Manager of Village Greens. "Beginner Friendly Certification is national recognition of the programs and services we have long provided to encourage people to come and enjoy our beautiful course and have a good time golfing with their friends and family.
Courses across the country completed evaluations, which were used to determine whether the course was beginner friendly. Courses were evaluated on a number of criteria such as availability of clinics, loaner clubs, special playing times for beginners and other initiatives.
