Golf Lessons At Village Green

We have a simple, proven way to improve your game whether you are a beginner, junior, medium or low-handicapper. Lessons of all kinds run from $40 to $75 per hour, depending on type and quantity. Specialty clinics are open to the public and provide a focus on areas not usually covered in the clinic-type of format. For the beginning female golfer our 4-week Introductory Clinics are a must! Junior Golfers enjoy our summer program! The new 'camp format' is just plain fun for the kids. You can view the adult lesson or junior golf pages of the website; call us at 630/985-3610 or stop by the golf shop for a schedule. Of course, Private Lessons are always the most effective way to improve. We provide a proven three-step formula:

  1. Identify the tendencies
  2. Determine the cause
  3. Prescribe the appropriate plan

Playing lessons go hand-in-hand with that 'most effective way to improve. We feature semi-private lessons, as well. Have a friend you'd enjoy learning with? We will set you up in a group of two to four students which will focus on a particular area of the game, including some one-on-one, to tune you up on a personal basis. Did you know that discussing your progress and practicing with your friends after a group lesson is a great way to improve your game?

VILLAGE GREENS GOLF PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHIES

Brandon Evans - PGA Head Professional Brandon has been the Head Golf Professional at Village Greens for the past 6 seasons. He is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Brandon's objective is to maximize his student's playing abilities and enjoyment in the game of golf. Through an extensive knowledge of ball flight laws learned under some of the game's greatest instructors, Brandon can analyze and identify the positive attributes of one's swing as well as those factors which are preventing an individual from achieving their potential. Once a diagnosis is made, a customized improvement plan is created based on a number of factors, including the students desire and availability to learn and practice and the ideal manner (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic) in which they assimilate the information given to them. He also believes that the fastest and most effective way to improve one's score is through a greater understanding and proficiency in the short game.  Brandon (left) and Stephanie Parkinson (right) displaying her 2003 achievements.

"In my experience, as well as others (a conclusion made after many discussions with those who also have had Brandon as an instructor) Brandon Evans demonstrates exceptional teaching and coaching insights. He assesses student's needs, targets problems, analyzes shortcomings and teaches skills necessary to master the game. Brandon's keen analysis helps students maximize their own unique physical capabilities, minimize liabilities, and helps them adjust accordingly. Brandon also helps students prepare mentally / psychologically so that more enjoyment can be had from their experiences on the golf course. Whether a beginner or seasoned player, Brandon helps students grasp the nuances of a better golf game as well as more enjoyment from the golf experience. He is a brilliant analyst, teacher and the best kept golf secret in the Chicago area." Stephanie Parkinson - MWGC Club Championship Flight Champion "I would like to commend Brandon Evans on his golf teaching skills. When I first went to Brandon for lessons I was new to the game but I was determined to hit the 80's by my second year. I'm here to testify that with the help and instructions from Brandon, I recently achieved my goal. I shot an 89 on August 14th and owe it all to Brandon. His teaching method and ideas were perfect for me. He gave me the tools and skills that I could work on even when I wasn't being watched by him. I trusted his judgment and it has paid off. Now all I have to do is continue down the path that Brandon has shown me and I'll soon be in the 70's. I do believe this." Shawn Pipes - 20 Handicap (and falling) "Thank you for making another season of Sunshine Golf great. You make so many wonderful opportunities for the participants possible. I enjoy watching your staff take ownership of the programs and make the experience fun for the participants and themselves. I appreciate everything you do very much." He has been coaching students of various levels and abilities for over eight years, including extensive experience with clinics, junior, seniors, and adults.
