Playing lessons are available for those who are excellent "range players", but can't seem to score well on the course. We feature semi-private lessons as an economical way to learn the game with a few of your friends, or a terrific way to bond with corporate clients in a relaxed, unique atmosphere. We will set you up in a group of two to six students which will focus on a particular area of the game, including some one-on-one, to tune you up on a personal basis. Brandon has been the Head Golf Professional at Village Greens for the past 7 seasons.  He is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan where he earned the Dr. Gary Wiren Award for graduating at the top of his graduating class.
Brandon's objective is to maximize his student's playing abilities and enjoyment in the game of golf. Through an extensive knowledge of ball flight laws learned under some of the game's greatest instructors, Brandon can analyze and identify the positive attributes of one's swing as well as those factors which are preventing an individual from achieving their potential.
Once a diagnosis is made, a customized improvement plan is created based on a number of factors, including the students desire and availability to learn and practice and the ideal manner (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic) in which they assimilate the information given to them. He also believes that the fastest and most effective way to improve one's score is through a greater  understanding and proficiency in the short game.

Prince is entering his third season at Village Greens. He comes to us  from Schaumburg Golf Club and Academy where he spent seven seasons as Assistant Golf Professional, including the last two as lead instructor of the Golf Academy. His teaching mentor and Golf Academy founder, Scott Syzmoniak, is the current instructor for Mark Henesby on the PGA Tour and Jenna Danials on the LPGA Tour.
Teaching instructors how to coach students has given Prince a unique perspective on communicating with students of various abilities and ages.
Prince understands that teaching is about knowledge, communication, and relationships. He has been coaching students of various levels and abilities for over eight years, including extensive experience with clinics, junior, seniors, and adults. Teaching over 200 lessons per year, Prince considers the short game and mental game to be his area of expertise. He believes in custom club fitting, finding your best swing, and good practice habits.

Marc “Woody” Woodcock is entering his 13th year as a PGA Class “A” Professional. After winning the Junior College State Tournament he accepted a Golf Scholarship to Northern Illinois University. He was a contributing member of the 1985 Mid American Conference Championship Team. Woody went on to play on the Mini-Tours in South Florida for two winters while spending the summers becoming a PGA Member through the Village Links of Glen Ellyn. In 1996 Woody became the Head Golf Professional , a tenure he held until 2000. During the next 6 years he owned his own indoor instruction facility helping students of all abilities and levels. Also co-hosted 5 Televison shows on CLTV with golfers calling in for “Live” Instruction. Woody guided four of his junior students to all-state honors and two College golf Scholarships. Woody has worked with Mac O’Grady and Mike Bender and credits these as well as Dr. Jim Suttie as being influences on his teaching.
His teaching philosophy is to teach the fundamentals and show the students ball flight laws and principles. This can be done by showing how and why the ball curves and how swing path and clubface angle cause the ball to move left or right, forward and straight as well as low and high. My goal is to teach and guide you on to why this happens and together we figure out the best way for you to get the most out of your ability. We do this through communication, drills, and video if needed. You would be amazed how easy this can be accomplished! There is no substitute for practice as long as it is with a purpose. Then we take your game to the course and free up your mind to allow you to perform with targets and different obstacles.
